Increasing Productivity with Automation
I'm trying out new apps to automate and increase my productivity. I'm finding great success on Product Hunt, which has become my favorite website for discovering new tools to help me streamline my workflow. I'm looking for apps that can help me be more efficient and save me time. I'm excited to see what new opportunities arise as I continue to explore the world of automation.
⚡ Zapier
I recently discovered Zapier, a powerful automation platform that allows users to create automated workflows to connect different web apps and services. With Zapier, I can create workflows that automate common tasks and help me save time. For example, I can set up a Zap to automatically copy new entries from my spreadsheet into my task management app. I'm excited to see how this tool can help me automate mundane tasks and help me be more efficient.
Right now I’m currently attempting to automate some of my content creation to convert the articles I’m writing here into Tweets or Social media posts.

📅 Cron Calendar
Cron Calendar is a new camera tool that is supposed to take your calendar to the next level. It boasts some of the following features:
- Availability sharing — mark holds on the grid, share the slots, and schedule with ease.
- Team overlays — quickly overlay teammates' calendars.
- Time zones — add as many as needed, drag & drop to quickly "travel" to places.
- Multiple accounts — unify work and personal calendars in one place.
- Menu bar calendar — tightly integrated; see and join upcoming meetings in seconds.
- Speed, multi-select flows, keyboard shortcuts, and gorgeous light/dark modes.

⚙️ Shortcuts - MacOS/iOS
One of the tools I've been using to increase my productivity on my Mac is the "Shortcuts" app. This app allows me to create custom shortcuts for common tasks I perform on my computer. For example, I have a shortcut that quickly allows me to add something to my reminders. This saves me time and makes it easier for me to get started on my work. I'm excited to continue exploring the possibilities of this app and finding new ways to streamline my workflow.
This tool has endless possibilities, and I want to learn how to become better at utilizing it for things that I do every single day.
✏️ aText
I’ve been using aText for several months now, and it has completely changed how I work.
aText is a productivity app for Mac that enables users to create snippets of frequently used text, which can then be inserted into any application by typing a short abbreviation. This is extremely useful for people who frequently type out the same phrases, such as email addresses, URLs, or even entire paragraphs.
Instead of typing out the entire phrase, users can simply type a short abbreviation, and aText will automatically expand it into the full text. This can save a significant amount of time and effort, especially for people who type a lot throughout the day.
I use it all the time to type in sentences that I type all the time, such as “Let me know if you have any questions!” or “Verified everything is working as desired.”

I'm also experimenting with ways to automate content creation. Recently, I successfully posted articles from Notion to a variety of social media platforms. I'm currently writing a whole tutorial about my process and the tools I used to make it happen.
